Choir, Handbells, Carols, and Candlelight
Join singers Nick I and Mary Scifres, accompanied by Pam Wicks on Piano and Bob Hawkins on Guitar, at Neighborhood Congregational Church on Christmas Eve, December 24, for the 7:00 service of candlelight and carols. Rev. B. J. Beu, along with Nick I and Mary, will take you through the story of Jesus’ birth as seen through the eyes of Joseph, Mary, a wise man, and the angels. Nick I will debut a new composition reflecting on the shepherd’s experience of Christmas and sing his Laguna Christmas original “It Never Snows” during the evening. Choral music, handbell music led by Jennifer Baker, flute music from LBHS student E. J. Kramer, and traditional Christmas carols, along with candlelight and “Silent Night” will round off the special service. All are welcome to this free celebration of worship and song at Neighborhood Congregational Church in Laguna Beach, 340 St. Ann’s Drive (corner of Glenneyre). Neighborhood Church is an open and inclusive community of faith, proudly celebrating diversity in a myriad of ways in all of its ministries and events. Call 949-494-8061 for more information.
