NCC WELCOMED FINANCIAL ADVICE on SUNDAY, MARCH 25, 12:00 Noon
We often avoid discussing finances with our friends and families. But we should never avoid learning about what can we do to better position ourselves, our families and our church for a firm financial footing! The Trustees and Stewardship committees have invited two special speakers to meet with us Sunday, March 25, 2012, at noon for one hour. They will review estate planning and point out areas where we should all be observant when looking at our financial picture.

Dr. Amy-Jill Levine, a devout practicing Jew who is a Jesus scholar by vocation, will provide lectures and workshops all day on Friday, helping us hear Jesus as a Jewish storyteller. She is engaging and interesting. Rev. Felix Carrion, leader of the StillSpeaking campaign of the United Church of Christ, will preach and lead worship on Saturday morning. On Sunday, March 18th, The Queen of Ragtime, Mimi Blais, pianist, actress and humorist, returns to Laguna Beach. This year she brings us an impersonation of the Waltz King of Canada along with ragtime and other offerings. Mimi has standing room only audiences at Ragtime Festivals across the country and people rush to get the best seats! To support the fundraising justice efforts of JOY Committee (Justice, Outreach and You), a $20 donation is requested and includes light refreshments at intermission.
