Walk to D’feet A.L.S.

Oct 19th, 2007 by Admin | 0

Neighborhood Congregational Church calls upon our community to support the ALS Association through the Orange County Chapter’s 2007 Walk to D’feet ALS, an Orange County ALS Association Fundraiser.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal, neuromuscular disease that can strike anyone without warning. Every 90 minutes someone in this country will be diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes someone will lose their battle against this devastating disease. Funds raised support research and patient programs, loans of medical equipment (wheelchairs, electric scooters, etc.) resource information, support groups and much more. Your help is needed!

A little over a year ago, Deborah Harris, our church Moderator at that time, revealed that she had been diagnosed with ALS. We hold our Deborah in our prayers constantly as she fights ALS and we help out as we can. Moreover, we are inspired by her courage and determination to continue to work and participate in church and other activities, even as it gets more difficult for her.

Date: Saturday, October 20, 2007

Registration: 8:30 AM
Ceremony: 9:30 AM
Walk Starts 10:00 AM
