Sunday Service at NCC - Pentecost & Healing Touch
Sunday, May 15, 2016 - 10:00am
Come join us Sunday mornings for an enlightening sermon by Reverend Jeff Utter, engaging children's activities, and special music with a variety of guest soloists!
Communion Sunday is the first Sunday of each month, and Healing Touch Sunday is the third Sunday of each month. Sunday Morning Childcare is available each Sunday from 9:45am to 11:45am.
Notes for this Sunday's service:
Pentecost has many dimensions, but surely one of the greatest is the good news of human unity. Jesus Christ came to us, was crucified, rose, ascended, and sent his Spirit in order to overcome not just the barrier between us and God, but also the barriers between human beings, including those of different cultures, languages, and ethnicities. The miracle of the tongues at Pentecost means the end of our humanly created inability to understand, accept, and affirm one another. The tongues of all tongues is the agape love incarnate in Christ.
See you Sunday!
