Join us at World Peace & Justice Weekend, an inclusive, enriching two days where we’ll take a collective deep breath and explore sustainable techniques, applications, and ideas. 

Saturday, October 12 (Silent and mindful prayer stations throughout the day)

Noon–1:30 pm

Recycled clothing materials and tile mosaic art workshops with artists Mike Tauber and Terrell Washington Anansi - bring your own piece of clothing to reimagine through art!

FOR THE KIDS: Eco-Tots/seed ball activities led by The Ecology Center of San Juan Capistrano

1:45 pm

Keynote: Toward Healthy & Regenerative Communities for All

Gladys Limon, Executive Director, California Environmental Justice Alliance. Born and raised in Oxnard, Gladys has deep experience in legal, policy, and community-based work for environmental justice and civil rights.

2:15–4:30 pm includes the following:

(1) Sustainability Fair with Demos & Ideas – earth-friendly tips from community partners, including solar conversion, water use, creative food ideas, plastic reduction

(2) Two Info-packed one-hour sessions including:

• Panel Discussion: Activism and the Environment

• Information and Action: The Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act of 2019

4:30-5:30 pm - Community Closing with Music and a tasty surprise!
