01-12-14 (Baptism of the Lord): Waters Of Life

Scripture Readings: Isaiah 42:1-9; Matthew 3:13-17

The blessing of God's Spirit in baptism is a call to ministry-a ministry of justice and reconciliation. God's Spirit brings both blessing and challenge, for baptism is both an invitation of gracious love and a call to discipleship. As we renew our own baptism, may we be moved to share life-giving waters with others as disciples of Christ.
