1-17-16: Everyone Needs a Nudge (Reverend Paula Elizabeth, Guest Preacher)

Scripture: Psalm 36:5-10; John 2:1-11

Everyone needs a nudge sometimes. Jesus himself exhibits just this reality in today’s Gospel reading. When the wine runs out at the wedding of Cana, Jesus’ mother lets him know as only a Jewish mother could that it was his problem to fix. Jesus had yet to illustrate the power within him, and needed a gentle reminder to get his ministry going. Everyone needs a nudge sometimes.
