Sunday Service at NCC - Communion Sunday
Sunday, May 1, 2016 - 10:00am
Come join us Sunday mornings for an enlightening sermon by Reverend Jeff Utter, engaging children's activities, and special music with a variety of guest soloists!
Communion Sunday is the first Sunday of each month, and Healing Touch Sunday is the third Sunday of each month. Sunday Morning Childcare is available each Sunday from 9:45am to 11:45am.
Notes for this Sunday's service:
Scripture reading: Psalm 145:1-10, 21; Romans 8:18-30
What occasions wonder in you? Not the wonder of curiosity, but the wonder of awe? The UCC is a denomination which is focused on issues of social justice, at what needs to be changed. But just because of this emphasis, we are in danger of forgetting that there is ample reason to wonder already in the present at the greatness of God, and at the greatness of God's promises. The message for May 1 will seek to call attention to what Jesus meant when he ended our basic prayer with, "For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever." What did He mean by "glory?" How can we and how do we perceive the divine glory today, in 2016? See you Sunday!
